Banbury Bulls went top of Midlands 2 East South following a 37-25 victory at Leicester Forest.
Bulls were 12-0 ahead inside five minutes thanks to tries from centre Dave Taylor and flanker Nick Clark, Taylor converting one.
Forest hit back with a penalty and a try, but Taylor’s penalty made it 15-8 at the break.
In the second half, Banbury scrum half Eddie Phillips and wing Ryan Sorrell touched down, with Taylor converting both and adding a penalty.
Forest reduced the deficit to 32-25 with ten minutes left, but wing Jed Boyle’s try made sure of Banbury’s win.
