BEN Farr ran in four tries as Chinnor cruised to a 52-17 victory at National 3 South West basement boys Maidenhead.

The young wing was a late replacement for Pip Seymour (heavy cold) and took his chance with aplomb.

Maidenhead did not allow Chinnor a touch before the speedy Alex Cannon scored their opening try.

But centre Richard Williams and wing James Serrano struck on 12 and 21 minutes to put Chinnor 12-5 ahead.

Full back Alex Wallace set up Farr for his first try after an interception and fly half James Cathcart converted.

From the restart, Chinnor failed to secure the ball and Simon Standfast ran in Maidenhead’s second try.

The visitors took control in the second half, with Farr sprinting in for his second.

Flanker Sam Jones and returning scrum half Toby Prescott were having good games and the latter created Farr’s hat-trick try.

Lock Sam Black set up the next score for supporting prop Joe Winpenny, while Cathcart, who converted all five second-half tries, chipped ahead for Farr’s superb fourth.

Williams bagged Chinnor’s final try after catching a short kick-off and running in unchallenged.

A touch of sloppiness allowed Standfast the final try for Maidenhead.
