Oxford United had to withstand strong York pressure in the first half at KitKat Crescent today.
However, they held firm until half-time, with some outstanding blocks from defenders throwing themselves in the way of shots.
Goalkeeper Ryan Clarke also pulled off a top-class save from Michael Rankine's header, having earlier bravely denied at the striker's feet to prevent a goal.
Matt Green was harshly booked just before the half-time whistle, and that was his fifth yellow card of the campaign, which means he will be suspended for the FA Cup tie against Thurrock.
