Banbury Bulls coach Grant Holmes has urged his players to guard against complacency after making a strong start to the Midlands 2 East South season.
Bulls lie second on points difference after three wins and a draw from four matches.
Holmes said: “Things are going well at the moment, but we are still quite a way from producing our best form.
“Although unbeaten, we must not become complacent. We still have a lot to work on to get our game to the standard we require.
“The players know this and there is a real sense in the changing room that with hard work and dedication we could produce something special this year.”
Holmes added: “We have a greater strength in depth now and already this has been tested with an early-season injury count taking its toll as well as players being unavailable due to work commitments.
“Competition for places has been missing from the team over recent years, with players able to miss training sessions and a game or two and then walk straight back into the side.
“However, this year with greater strength in depth this won’t be the case and that can only be good for the club and the players.”
