Didcot Town failed to score for a fifth home Zamaretto Southern League game in a row as they held Banbury United to a goalless draw.
But the Railwaymen were the happier side after gaining a point in last night’s Premier Division clash in front of 317 fans at the npower Loop Meadow Stadium.
The visitors created more of the chances and were denied a penalty when Didcot’s Alex Stanley appeared to trip David Stone in the box.
Declan Benjamin hit the crossbar with a 30-yard free-kick, while Didcot keeper Matt Trott saved well from substitute Howard Forinton in the closing stages.
Michael Bartley headed a couple of chances wide for the home side, but otherwise they struggled to break down a well-organised Banbury defence marshalled by Ben Milner.
