Chipping Norton were edged into second despite a 43-3 home victory over Swindon in Southern Counties North.
The visitors dominated early on, using the wind well, and took the lead through Nathan Waite’s penalty.
Chippy replied when Chris Dixon set up Jamie Lakin to score against the run of play, Adam Smith converting.
Neil Penny’s try gave Chippy a 12-3 lead at the break before they cut loose – Smith slotting four penalties and converting a Matt Dawson try.
Ian Waldron, who put in a great captain’s performance, finished off a team try quickly followed by one from Ian Hancock, which Smith converted.
Witney maintained their own 100 per cent record by winning 27-10 at Aylesbury – sparking James and Henry Lamb’s birthday celebrations.
Witney’s tackling was key to their victory, and a strong hit enabled them to take the lead.
Fly half Henry Lamb broke into the 22 and found scrum half Gareth Campbell, who scored.
Witney conceded far too many penalties, but Aylesbury did not have the kicker to punish them.
Lewis Collins bagged Witney’s second try after some concerted attacking.
Aylesbury pounced on a loose ball for their opening score and another opportunist effort levelled proceedings at 10-10 early in the second half.
Witney lost hooker Sam Collins to injury, so prop Alan Richens filled in and lock Owen Fowler threw in at the line-out.
Gareth Campbell had a try disallowed, but Fowler charged over, Ed Mitchem converting.
Lewis Collins scampered over for his second, then lock Lewis Griffiths set up No 5 for flanker Carl Campbell.
