The conditions were just about perfect for the Oxford Bus AC’s match on the lake at Fritwell.
A good turnout of nine anglers took part, although the lake was just a bit below its normal level with all the dry weather.
Pete Clark, sat on peg seven, won the match with netfuls of common and mirror carp weighing 101.14.0.
Second place went to Mark Heath on peg eight with a bag of carp for a combined weight of 62.13.0.
Mark used pole at 11m straight out in front of him with maggots as the main bait.
Terry Yates, on peg two, was third with a mixed bag of common and mirror carp and a few perch, weighing in 35.12.0.
Terry also used the pole at some six lengths out against an island feature with worms at the main bait.
Acorn Angling held their Reg Landsbury Memorial Match at Carmel College, Wallingford, where £75 was raised for charity.
Tony Brooker won the match with 9.8.0 of silver fish on the pole and feeder.
Second was Paul Bowers, who weighed in 7.6.0 of silver fish on the waggler.
Third place was shared between Jan Stankowski and Chris Webb, both of whom put 5lb of fish on the scales.
Neil Grant came out on top at Sutton Courtenay’s Coronation Cup, where 18 fished.
Grant landed 7lb 10oz of roach on the pole with hemp and tares.
Steve Wheatley was second with 7.4.0 of bleak on the pole with maggot, while Bob Gosbee took third with 7.0.0 of bleak and roach on the whip and maggot.
