Gosford All Blacks battled back to defeat visitors Oxford 12-10 in the BB&O Premier Division.
The hosts lost flanker Alex Webb early on to a hamstring injury.
Oxford broke the deadlock when left wing Dave Ralson burst past his opposite number Ben Bodenham to score in the corner.
After the break, Gosford scrum half Tim Ellis fed prop Tony Baughan, who plunged over.
A rolling maul ended with Oxford veteran Gary Walter being driven over for 10-5.
In the final quarter, Ellis and Harry Sutton set up a try for Eliott Newell and Ellis slotted the conversion.
Alchester underlined their promotion potential in just their second league match with a 57-5 success at Abingdon.
Flanker Niall Morrow’s try put Alchester ahead after fine support from his fellow forwards and full back Adam White converted.
Centre Tom Miles notched the visitors’ try No 2, White added a penalty then prop Sean Cooke bashed through to score.
No 8 Joe McAneaney bagged the next try, with replacement Jack Briggs scoring soon afterwards.
Wing Ashley Blacklock snaked through the defence for a potential try of the season before McAneaney crashed over for his second.
Abingdon managed a consolation try, but replacement lock Jamie Jones bagged Alchester’s final score and White finished with seven out of eight conversions.
