Didcot's BB&O Division 2 South match at home to Maidenhead 4th was abandoned after 15 minutes due to a serious injury.

A Didcot player, whose name has not been released, was taken to hospital by ambulance where he is now recovering.

Didcot president Andy Rolfe said: “The decision was taken to abandon the match primarily because, to be honest, the players from both teams were more concerned about the injury than the game anyway – as you would expect.

“Our thoughts are with him and his family as he makes that recovery.”
