Abingdon United must replay tomorrow night after being held to a goalless draw at Northcourt Road in the FA Cup 2nd qualifying round.
They had to play much of the second half with ten men following the dismissal of captain Julian McCalmon, but Abingdon were unlucky not to have won the game at the first attempt.
James Organ cleared a Cirencester effort off the line in the 17th minute, but the home side took control after that.
John Mills shot across the keeper, but the ball evaded everyone, and two minutes later, Cirencester defender Zak Westlake cleared the ball from danger after a scramble in the box.
The second period saw Abingdon continue to hold the upper hand, but could not break down a resolute Cirencester defence.
McCalmon saw red for a tackle on Tom Etheridge, but despite that, Abingdon still forced one final chance that Mills was unable to convert from five yards out.
Abingdon Utd: Beames, Brown, Organ, Peirson, Franklin, McCalmon, Goodrham, Osborne-Ricketts (Weedon 85), Merritt, Beechers (Thorne 80), Mills. Subs not used: Odhiambo, Hutton, Holden.
Attendance: 134.
