Nathan Harrison enhanced his reputation as a possible future Formula 1 star by becoming the youngest ever British champion in a junior class of karting.
The 13-year-old from Botley, saw off much older rivals at Trent Valley Kart Circuit to become the national champion in the Super One Minimax class.
Harrison secured this title with a race to spare, such was his dominance.
This was Harrison’s third major win in a month, having become the Southern Area champion in August and then landing the Midland Championship a fortnight later.
This weekend, he is racing at Shennington near Banbury, in the hope of obtaining his ‘0’ plate.
This is a one-off meeting which allows the winner to run the number 0 anywhere in the country.
