The Home Counties Premier League’s disciplinary hearing into an incident during the Aston Rowant v Basingstoke match last month, is expected to be held next week.

Rowant, whose Australian all-rounder Tim Miles clashed with Basingstoke batsman Dean Nurse during the Division 2 West game, say the league have informed them that the meeting will be staged at High Wycombe CC either next Monday or Wednesday .

Rowant are seeking clarifaction from the league over the rules covering the meeting.

The original league hearing, at which Aston Rowant were docked 25 points and Miles and Nurse received respective five-year and one-year bans, was ruled unconstitutional as neither club was invited.

The original deduction of 25 points meant that Reading overtook Rowant to finish top of the table.
