Bob Baker has started this season where he left off the last campaign – in the Wasps’ matchday squad.
The 20-year-old prop, who came through the ranks at Chinnor and featured for them last season, has been on the bench in each of Wasps’ three Guinness Premiership matches so far.
Baker’s chances have been boosted by the league now allowing an extra front-row replacement and he has twice come on.
Meanwhile, another former Chinnor player, flanker Dave Seymour, has made the first team at his new club Sale Sharks.
Seymour, who joined Sale from Saracens this summer, started their last Premiership match against Bath after coming off the bench at Newcastle Falcons the previous week.
