Faringdon Town stayed top after making it four wins from as many starts in North Berks League Division 1 with a 3-0 victory at previously unbeaten Harwell Village, writes PHIL ANNETS.

Goals from Paul Hulme, Peter Soane and Derren Harrington divided the two teams.

Defending champions Saxton Rovers made it three wins out of three by beating Didcot Casuals 4-1 at home.

Two goals apiece from Garry Hartley and Kirk Giddings gave Saxton victory with Lawrence Hoey netting for the visitors.

AFC Wallingford secured a 4-2 win at Lambourn Sports.

Jordan Brown (2), Shaun Kelleher and Tom Collins did the damage for Wallingford, with Matthew Pedder netting twice in the second half for Lambourn.

Liam Strudwick hit a hat-trick as Crowmarsh Gifford finally got a win under their belts by walloping Warborough & Shillingford 6-1.

Phil Hedges bagged a brace and Paul Hannigan also netted.

In Division 2, Harwell International lost their 100 per cent record with a 3-1 defeat at Botley United, who join them at the top.

Chris Potter, James Bruce and Jamie Phillips netted for Botley, with Wayne Robins replying.

Marcham also have nine points after defeating Coles-hill United 4-1.

A Wes Coster double plus strikes from Phil Jeacock and Frank Haines blew away Coleshill, whose lone goal came from Shane Blake.

Steventon registered their first win of the season with a 4-0 victory over bottom club Lambourn Sports Res.

Nathan Brown, Stuart Coppock, Darren Pettifer and Shane Preece-Tripp did the damage.

Benson Lions ran out 4-2 winners at Division 3 basement boys Harwell International Res.

Dan Sanderson (2), Steve Burns and Alex Smallshaw were on target for Benson, with Charlie Jamieson and Dan Humphreys the Harwell marksmen.
