Beckley United have withdrawn from the Banbury District& Lord Jersey League.
It follows an incident during their Division 1 game against Highfield Old Boys where a fan is alleged to have assaulted one of the keepers with a sign during a pitch invasion.
The game was abandoned just before full time with Highfield winning 4-3.
The Oxfordshire Football Association have confirmed they will wait for the police investigation to be completed before taking any action, while the League have decided to do the same.
A 27-year-old man has been charged with assault.
Meanwhile, Darren Barber scored KEA’s first goal in their 3-1 win at Arncott in the Lord Jersey Cup first round only to be sent off later for two yellow cards.
Barber got the opener and they went further ahead when Ian Edge touched an indirect free-kick awarded in the area, to Sam Donaldson, who rifled home into the roof of the net.
Mike Wyatt slotted home KEA’s third after the break before Barber received his marching orders.
Jason Bubb pulled one back, but the damage had already been done.
Rob Davis hit a hat-trick in Bells Sports Res’ 5-2 home win over Fenny Compton Res in the Geoff Wilson Cup first round.
Kieran Reilly bagged a brace, including a penalty for Bell, whose Brett Barns also missed a penalty.
Martin Robin got Fenny’s opener, then missed a penalty, before later scoring a twice-taken spot-kick, which he originally blasted over the bar.
