Paul Hudson recorded a 180 as Black Horse A took over at the top spot of Greene King ODDA Section 3 for the first time this season with a 7-2 home mauling of Masons Arms A.
Mark Dobbin and Ian Walton saw Horse stroll into a 2-0 lead, before Andy Webb pulled one back when he beat Pat Walsh.
However, the hosts then stormed into a 5-1 lead, with wins from Hudson, Kim Percival and Daryl Fathers. Horse won 2-1 in the pairs.
Masons Arms C closed the gap on Section 5 leaders Nuffield Lounge to three points with a 5-4 victory in their top-of-the- table clash.
Section 6 pace-setters Berinsfield Community Centre extended their lead at the top on Kidlington Green Road Social Club to four points with a 5-4 victory against Masons Arms B.
Prince Of Wales lead Section 7 by 15 points after a 5-4 victory at Kennington Social Club, East Oxford Conservative Club need just two points from two games to lift the Section 9 crown.
In the ladies’ Premier Section, Shelley Arms beat Quarry Gate C 6-3.
Wins from Sue Burns, Hazel Prowton, Cindy Chalmers and Pat Newman gave Shelley a 4-0 lead, before Quarry pulled two games back through Greta Britnell and Tina Radbourne.
But a 2-1 pairs win gave Shelley victory meaning they needing four points to retain their title.
Quarry Gate need a point to win Section 1.
