Wallingford's unbeaten start to the South West 1 East season ended with a 30-14 defeat at Buckingham.
Flanker Will Woodward, for the second game running, and No 8 Ian Jeffrey bagged the visitors’ tries, full back Ralph Smith converting both.
But Buckingham sealed the points thanks to tries from Jamie Hartnett, Andy Turvey and Chris Knowles. Henry Colver added three conversions, two penalties and a drop goal.
Defeat saw Wallingford drop to seventh in what looks like a very competitive division.
