Oxford City 1 (Steele 87)
Tiverton Tn 0
Substitute Lee Steele was Oxford City’s hero with a late winner in their Premier Division clash against Tiverton town at Court Place Farm.
It looked as if neither side would break the deadlock, but three minutes from time Mark Janes raced to the byeline before picking out found fellow substitute Steele, who turned and shot home.
There had been little to enthuse over in the first half as Tiverton had a shade more of the play.
The game developed into a midfield confrontation with neither side getting on top, and both keepers rarely called upon.
City upped their game in the second half.
Craig Faulconbridge had a chance after being played through by Jamie Brooks, but shot the wrong side of a post, while James Clarke fired wide from long range.
City’s Andy Baird headed just wide from Mark Bell's corner, before Steele ended the stalemate.

Referee: D Cook (Gosport).
