Witney's youngsters finished runners-up in the Milton Keynes & District Junior League after taking second spot behind Maxwell in the final round gala Excellent efforts from Abigail Patrick brought her a double victory in the nine & under freestyle and butterfly, recording personal bests in each event and also the club’s swimmer-of-the-match award.
The runner-up vote was shared between Skye Tanner and Matthew Floyd.
Tanner was runner-up in the butterfly and freestyle, while Floyd was second in the breaststroke and third in the butterfly.
There were also victories for Ellie Nutt in the 11 & under girls’ breaststroke and Imogen Pitson in the ten & under butterfly.
Result: 1 Maxwell 221pts, 2 Witney 193, 3 Aylesbury 176, 4 Chesham 159, 5 Flitwick 134, 6 Dunstable 133.
