Banbury United manager Billy Jeffrey is aiming to turn the tables on his old club when he takes his side to Rugby Town in the Premier Division on Saturday.
It is the first time that Jeffrey, who managed the Warwickshire outfit for two-and-a-half seasons, has been back.
It also sees the return to Butlin Road of Banbury trio David Stone, Jason Taylor and Aaron Stringfellow, who played for Jeffrey at Rugby.
“I haven’t even seen a game up there since I left,” said Jeffrey, who quit Rugby for personal reasons in 2007.
“I still have a lot of good friends there and of course we have few of their old players.
“I’m looking forward to going back and hopefully coming back with a win.”
Jeffrey said it was vital that Banbury bounced back after their midweek FA Cup replay exit at Chippenham.
They fought back to level at 2-2, but lost to a late penalty.
“I thought when we equal-ised we would go on and win. But a mistake at the end cost us.
“I thought that in the two games against Chippenham we showed we can be a match anybody, but we have to cut out these silly mistakes.”
Jack Ashton could return after an ankle injury, though Jon Gardner (knee) is a doubt.
Oxford City boss Mike Ford wants his players to keep up the good work as they look to extend their unbeaten run to six games at home to Tiverton.
Ford said: “In the last five games, we have started scrapping a bit more, but we need to keep a few more clean sheets.
“That’s five games unbeaten and one was in the FA Cup. But if we are still in the same situation in a month’s time that’s what I would call an unbeaten record.”
Didcot Town boss Stuart Peace is backing his side to end their winless run in the league ahead of their trip to Bedford.
Last weekend, Didcot beat Shrivenham 5-0 in the FA Cup for their first win this season.
Peace said: “We’ve been playing better than our league position suggests, so it’s important we keep playing the way we have been doing and we will get our just rewards.”
North Leigh will be without Simon Futcher for their Division 1 South & West trip to Frome after he dislocated an ankle during their FA Cup loss against Cirencester.
Luke Holden (holiday) is Abingdon United’s only absentee for their trip to Cinderford Town.
