OCA League Divisions 5-11
Stanton St John Willows avoided relegation from Division 6 in their final game of the season as they beat Stanton Harcourt by four wickets.
Batting first, Harcourt posted 154 all out, Ollie Pascoe hitting 63 and Julian Francis taking 3-27.
Willows then reached 155-6 for victory, thanks to 52 from Ashley Pike.
Wolvercote were relegated instead after they lost by 14 runs at home to Freeland 2nd.
Kevin Hole returned 6-46 as Wolvercote crashed to 124 all out chasing Freeland’s low total of 138.
Dorchester’s Steve McComb returned brilliant figures of 8-24 as his side beat Ducklington by 12 runs.
Dorchester had crawled to 105-8 from their 45 overs, Andy Walker taking 4-11, but Ducklington fared no better as they fell to 93 all out in reply.
In Division 5, Jamal Sutton scored a magnificent century to help Kennington to a four-wicket victory at Wootton & Boars Hill.
David Mills (79) and James Studds (40) helped Wootton to a daunting 254-8, but Sutton’s superb 129 saw Kennington to 255-6.
In Division 7, Wantage secured the second promotion spot with a nine-wicket win at Steventon.
The home side were restricted to 150-8 from their 45 overs, before Wantage reached 154-1, Ryan Martin hitting 75 not out and Colin Mercer 58 not out.
Stonesfield 2nd missed out as they were thrashed by nine wickets at Hanney, who avoided relegation as a result.
Douglas Hilliam took 5-24 and Richard Green 4-19 as Stonesfield slumped to 82 all out, before Ben Green (41no) and Craig Woods (31) saw Hanney to 83-1.
Elsewhere, Marsh Gibbon 2nd finished their season with a 62-run victory at Eynsham 2nd.
Pete Shipperley hit 90 and Ben Proctor 79 not out in Marsh Gibbon’s 244-5, before Eynsham were held to 182-9 in reply, Michael Timms taking 3-41.
West Ilsley 2nd defeated Westbury 2nd by 101 runs.
John Marston was the star of the show with bat and ball, hitting 50 in Ilsley’s 190-7, before taking 4-10 as Westbury fell to 89 all out.
Sandeep George smashed 125 not out as Risinghurst beat Marcham 2nd by 75 runs in Division 8.
Risinghurst posted 252-9, before restricting Marcham to 177-9 in reply.
In Division 11, Sunningwell 2nd wrapped up the title with an 18-run win against Wolvercote 2nd.
Thomas Roberts (41) and Sam Baker (33) helped Sunningwell to 183 all out, Andrew Dodd taking fine figures of 6-41.
Ben Roberts then grabbed 4-14 as Wolvercote were all out for 165.
