FA Cup 1st qualifying round
Thame United boss Mark West says there is no pressure on his side as they host Southern League outfit Burnham at Wallingford’s Hithercroft ground.
Thame have made a superb start in Division 1 East of the FTL Futbol Hellenic League, winning all five games so far.
But West says his side have already achieved their goal of two wins in the FA Cup this season.
He said: “Burnham are a few leagues above us, so they should win the game.
“We’ve done well to win our first two cup games, which is what we planned to do.
“Anything for us would be a bonus now, but another win would mean another few thousand pounds in prize money. To us, without our own ground, that sort of money would be really important.
“But I’m putting no pressure on the lads. They are playing with confidence at the moment, and if we can convert our chances, who knows?”
Wantage Town, who remain unbeaten in the Hellenic League Premier Division this season, face a trip to Bristol-based Southern League side Mangotsfield.
