Mick Harford is convinced that Luton Town will finish above Oxford United this season – despite their 2-0 reverse.
The Hatters’ boss bemoaned a “stupid” opening 16 minutes, but says that from what he saw, he is still sure his side will claim the Blue Square Premier title.
He said: “We lost the game in the first 16 minutes with two defensive errors.
“But after that we controlled the game until the end.
“We carved them open time and time again but couldn't put the ball in the net.
“We dominated possession even with ten men, but have let in two stupid goals.”
He added: “From what I've seen, I believe we'll finish above Oxford and if we do, we'll win the league.”
