It does appear that the rabbits are in cohoots with the resident hare at Oxford Stadium.
There is a burrow which has developed just ten yards behind the 450m traps.
And despite the track staff filling in the hole every day, they still manage to come back out.
To think the greyhounds chase a plastic hare around the track!
l Trials have been cancelled on Monday to allow track staff to reduce the camber on the first bend following a visit from the GBGB track safety committee.
Oxford were advised to take the first bend camber off. Many tracks now run without a first-bend camber and it was felt at Oxford that it was causing too many greyhounds to move towards the rails at the first bend.
l Top grader Heavenly Club, who was defeated in the 450m SKY TV race on Tuesday has joined Matt Dartnall from Angie Kibble for a six month spell open races.
l Greyhounds arriving this week at Oxford Stadium include the Wimbledon top- grade stayer Ard Impact (Paddy Curtin), two more Nikitas prefixed greyhounds Torres and Ramble from Ireland (Ron Bicknell), Not Now Blue (from Monmore) and Splashing Out (Coventry) Angie Kibble.
