Niall Devaney hit an unbeaten century and took a six-wicket haul as Magdalen College School, Oxford, won four of their five matches on their their under 11 tour of North Yorkshire.
The Oxford CC and Oxfordshire wicket-keeper smashed 105 not out in a 113-run victory against Barnard Castle Junior School, and took 6-12 in the eight-wicket win against the previously-unbeaten Aysgarth Prep School.
Devaney was joined by Burton (64no) in a record second-wicket partnership of an unbroken 195 against Barnard Castle.
Devaney also broke the MCS record for the total number of wickets in a season with 25 victims at an average of 5.3.
Kennington’s Edmund Smith starred with 57 in the 35-run victory against St Martin’s, Ampleforth.
Opening bowler Noah Rechter impressed with tour figures of 18-2-49-3, with Freddy Logan’s leg-cutters giving him 13-4-26-4.
