Nelson's Keith Sheard knocked out Horse And Harrow’s Gary Johnson on aggregate in the All-England singles at the Lamb & Flag, Hailey.
Johnson reeled off a break of 15,650 to take the first frame 17,900-2,250.
But Sheard replied with 19,580 in the second leg for a 21,830-17,900 aggregate win.
Sheard will now face Johnson’s teammate, Peter Welch, in the quarter-final at the Portcullis Club.
MASONS opened their Oxford Summer League Group A campaign by winning 5-1 at home to Dolphin.
Mick Murphy (2,890 and 2,970), Martyn Wood (3,360 and 2,480) and Alan Lowe (9,820) starred for Masons, with Simon Ellam (7,900) replying.
Bletchingdon Club drew 3-3 at home to Didcot Conservative Club.
Pete Soanes (5,350) and Colin Winstone (2,950) put Bletchingdon 2-0 up only for Dave Tooke (2,110) and Adam Thorn (3,260) to level the match.
Winstone restored the hosts’ lead, but Tooke (7,670) gave Didcot a share of the spoils.
