Oxfordshire Under 15s’ disappointing season continued as they crashed to defeat against Wiltshire in their latest ECB County Cup clash.
It wasn’t all bad news, as Oxfordshire bowled and fielded with great discipline as they dismissed their hosts out for 185 in 48.1 overs.
Matthew Taylor and Fi Morris were the pick of the bowlers as they claimed three wickets apiece, while Wiltshire’s top-scorers were Craig Miles and Jack Dymoke.
However, all the promise counted for little as Oxfordshire’s reply was a huge disappointment.
Only No 10 batsman Sam Robins reached double figures with a defiant 25.
But by then, the damage had been done as Oxon had slumped to 47-9.
Brad Dawson was the pick of the Wiltshire attack with five wickets.
Robins’s knock just delayed the inevitable as they were shot out for 75 in 25 overs.
