Ben Knowles hit a half-century as Oxfordshire Under 13s beat the Isle of Wight by 218 runs at Radley College.
Put in, Oxon established a good platform, thanks to a 69-run second-wicket stand between opener Markus Jeacock and Knowles, who top-scored with 59.
After Jeacock fell with the score on 98, Knowles and the middle order set about the Islanders’ bowling attack to score at more than nine runs an over for the second half of their innings to post an impressive 254-7.
Isle of Wight struggled to cope with the pace and accuracy of Oxfordshire’s attack and the impressive Law-rence Brock and Will Sutcliffe reduced the visitors to 7-5 from eight overs.
Off-spinner Miles Hammond completed victory, taking 3-6 from four overs as the Islanders were shot out for just 36.
