Sylvia Brown, 73, won a gold, silver and bronze medal in the European Veterans Fencing Championships in Hungary.
Brown, of Chinnor, was seeded third in the épée event and won her first direct elimination match 10-8, 8-3.
She then brushed aside Christina Haarlem, of Sweden, 10-6 to claim the 70+ title.
In the foil competition, Brown (pictured right with her gold medal), edged into the semi-finals with a 9-8 victory over Germany’s Lia Sarancio in an intense encounter.
However, in the final she fell just short against No 1 seed Eva Cremer-Schlede, also from Germany, going down 10-8.
In the final event, the sabre, she once again made it to the semi-finals.
But she went down to Ksenia Tadzhieva, which left her with the bronze to complete her collection.
She is now preparing for the World Championships in Moscow, in October.
