Oxfordshire's under 11 girls picked up an encouraging victory in their opening fixture of the season as they saw off Warwickshire by five wickets with just one over to spare.
Winning the toss, Oxon put Warwickshire in to bat, and they posted 77-7 from their 25 overs.
Oxfordshire bowled with great discipline, with the pick of the bowlers being Paige Haggett (2-7) and Lizzie Robbins (2-5).
For Warwickshire, Nicola Botts and Rebecca Brazier batted well, with a number of good shots helping them up to a competitive total.
Oxfordshire made a steady reply, with Charlotte Leach in particular playing several fine strokes.
However, the loss of three quick wickets saw Warwickshire battle back as Oxon fell behind the required run rate.
But Eliza Goode and Robyn Dominick then enjoyed an unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 36, Goode top-scoring with 22, to see Oxfordshire to victory in the 24th over.
