ECB 50+ County Championship
A stunning unbeaten century from Alec Cunningham propelled holders Oxfordshire to victory over Herefordshire at Eastnor.
Cunningham smashed 106 off 62 balls including 11 fours and two sixes as Oxon reached 186-8 in a rain-affected match.
Play did not start until 4.30pm, so it was declared a 23-over game.
The key to Oxfordshire’s innings was a 119-run third-wicket partnership between Cunningham and Malcolm Evans (44).
Further rain reduced Herefordshire’s innings to 20 overs with a revised victory target of 162.
But with bowlers Trevor Spindler (4-18) and Adrian Manger (3-5) impressing, this never looked likely and Oxon made it three wins from four.
