Josh Megson impressed with bat and ball on his debut for the south and west under 14 regional team as they beat Wales by 124 runs at Tiverton.
Coming in on a hat-trick, the Banbury and Oxfordshire all-rounder scored 34, including five boundaries to help his side to 232 all out.
Megson then took 2-14 in seven overs as Wales were skittled for 108.
He now hopes to be selected to face the south east in August, with a tour to the West Indies a potential follow-up.
Three local clubs will be represented when Oxford UCCE host Nottinghamshire in The Parks in a three-day first class match starting tomorrow.
Raj Sharma (Oxford), Duncan Bradshaw (Bicester & North Oxford) and Luke Ryan (Banbury) are all included.
Oxford UCCE: Ball, Martin, Sharma, Lett (capt), Bradshaw, Abel, Young, Coughtrie, Ryan, Watson, Strachan.
