Oxfordshire Under 25 bowlers impressed in the latest round of matches in the Oxford and District League, sponsored by Yarnton Nurseries.
In Division 1, Carterton’s Dan and Darren Wakeman, Remy Clanfield and Ryan Full helped secure a 5-1 victory at Shiplake.
Oxford City & County A twins Dean and Gary May supported Alan Ley in a good comeback against Headington’s Howard Watts before losing 16-15.
Headington went on to claim a 5-1 victory to step up the pressure on champions Banbury Central, who edged a two-shot victory at home to Bicester to take the points 4-2.
Promising youngsters Rob Pink and Sam White shone for Bicester.
Banbury Chestnuts took the spoils in Division 2’s top-of-the-table clash with South Oxford by one shot for a 4-2 win on points.
Woodstock’s Anthony Tozer was the highest-winning skip with a 24-shot victory in the 4-2 home triumph over Oxford City & County B.
In Division 3, Under 25s captain Chris Miles and teammate Liam Witcombe helped Witney Mills’ push for promotion.
The west Oxfordshire side go clear at the top with a 4-2 win over Chipping Norton, who included junior Ryan Benfield.
Charlbury’s young skip, Chris Skidmore, won twice in four days against Bloxham and Chipping Norton to help his team go second.
And Jack Barnes played a great game for Watlington in their 4-2 defeat at Kidlington.
In Division 4, Headington B and Witney Town chalked up 6-0 wins against Chadlington and Hanborough respectively.
