Robin Charlton was the hero for Viking Sports as he helped them to their first win in the Greene King Oxford & District League top flight with a 2-1 home success against Kidlington Sports.
Needing to beat 20 in the decider, Vikings got off to a slow start, leaving anchor man Charlton to get five to clinch it.
After missing with his first attempt, Charlton whipped off the next five to take the leg by the odd doll.
Vikings won the opener 17-15, only for Kidlington to level in the second leg 22-14.
Charlton then held his nerve to take victory in a nerve-jangling finale.
Den Sellar and Barry Townsend both hit a six as Cricketers B beat Garsington Sports 2-1.
Chris Simmons hit 14 dolls (3-5-6) to inspire Chequers to a 3-0 victory over White Hart in Section 2.
Chequers won the first leg 23-22, before taking the next 22-17 and they won the final leg 22-20.
Nathan O’Donnell bagged himself 14 dolls (4-5-5) and Gavin Stubbs 11 (6-2-3) as Dogwood beat Cricketers Littleworth, winning the three legs 25-21, 24-23, 25-15.
Tony Stallard hit his first ever six as Red Lion Eynsham beat Highfield Club 2-1 in Section 3.
Stallard could only follow up his six with a one and a two, but it was in vain as they won the first leg 17-13.
They lost the second 18-14 before sealing it with a three-stick shoot-out after the teams were locked at 20-20.
Keith Vickers was top dog for Highfield with 11 dolls (2-5-4).
In Section 4, Fairview’s Colin Blunt smashed a baker’s dozen (6-3-4) in their 2-1 victory against Red Lion Garsington.
After winning the opener on a three-stick shoot-out after both teams scored 19, Fairview doubled their points tally in the second leg which they won 18-11.
They then lost out on after a three-stick shoot-out in the final leg after tying 17-17.
In Section 5, all three legs of the Viking Sports C’s clash with Kidlington Sports A went to three-stick shoot-outs.

Golden Ball B scored one more doll than Bull but still lost 2-1.
They won the first leg 18-16, but Bull levelled 15-14, before clinching victory via a three-stick shoot-out after the teams were locked at 15-15.
In Section 6, Brill Social Club’s Lee Mason with 13 (5-3-5), Martyn Kitson 12 (4-4-4) and Ian Houghton 11 (4-2-5), all threw well, but it was in vain as they lost 2-1 at Team Monarch.
Monarch won the first two 25-23, 20-19. Brill Club won the final leg 27-16.
Highfield Club B edged to a 2-1 win against Unicorn Inn in a Section 7 thriller.

Tree won the first two legs 9-8 and 8-5, before Lion won the last leg 15-11.

The opening and final legs were tied 9-9 with Catherine Wheel winning them both on a three-stick shoot-out. They won the second leg 12-11.
