Matt Taylor took a hat-trick in figures of 4-3 as Great & Little Tew beat Hook Norton by 59 runs in Group A of the Oxfordshire Under 15 Club Championship.
Batting first, Tew posted 113-4, with useful contributions from Jamie Morton (33) and Josh Garrett (26).
Hooky found themselves four wickets down with only three runs on the board thanks to a hostile spell from Taylor – all three of his hat-trick victims being bowled.
They were eventually bowled out for 54.
In Group B, Warborough & Shillingford saw off Tiddington by seven wickets.
Chris Goodman hit 41 not out in Tiddington’s 82-7, but unbeaten knocks by Joey Edwards 926no) and Sean Whitty (20no) saw Warborough to victory.
Ducklington survived a late collapse to beat Shrivenham by five wickets in Group E.
Scott Winskill hit 53 in Shrivenham’s 96-6, and, with Sam Costley making 52 in Ducklington’s reply, they were in command.
But five wickets fell for three runs, including three wickets in an over by Drew McHenry, before Ducklington got home at 98-5.
