Abingdon Amblers finished sixth in their Southern 2 West Young Athletes League match at Walton.
However, there were a number of national graded performances.
Peter Barnshaw led the way with a grade one time of 57.3 secs in the under 17 boys’ 400m hurdles.
This was followed by Josh Smedley, who clocked a personal best of 24.4 in the 200m.
In the under 13 girls’ competition, Bryony Dawson recorded grade two times in the 75m and 150m of 10.5 and 20.8 secs respectively.
Anna Stepney ran 23.1 in the 150m, and also anchored the under 13 girls to victory in the 4x100m relay.
Under 13 Ciaran Birch won the 800m in 2.46.8, while another newcomer, Thomas Barrett, clocked 30.0 to finish second in the 200m.
In the under 15 boys’ competition, Tom Fabes threw 12.85m in the discus.
