Former Chinnor captain Craig Burrows has joined rivals Oxford Harlequins as a player-coach.
The 33-year-old lock led Chinnor to the South West 1 title in 2006 and has also skippered Oxfordshire.
He will now oversee Quins’ forwards and is teaming up again with former Chinnor coach John Brodley, who is now director of rugby.
Brodley said: “Craig will bring much-needed rugby experience, ball winning capabilities and leadership to the side.
“While on the coaching field, Craig will lead forwards’ sessions with the senior sides and the academy. I am delighted with his appointment.”
Lynn Evans, meanwhile, is follwing the British & Irish Lions on tour in South Africa as he coaches with the Penguins – a touring team that seeks to develop rugby worldwide.
The former Oxford University and Chinnor coach flew out this week and will return after the first Test on June 20.
Evans said: “We follow the itinerary of the Lions as the Penguins are sponsored by HSBC.
“We do coaching courses for coaches and also a couple of festivals.”
