Oxford City have signed former Oxford United striker Lee Steele from relegated Blue Square Premier side Northwich Victoria.
Steele, 35, who scored four league goals in two seasons with Oxford where he was plagued by injury, was on loan at Barrow last season.
The Liverpool-born frontman left Oxford in 2004, before joining Leyton Orient and scored their winner in a 3-2 win that consigned the U’s to relegation into non-league.
City boss Justin Merritt has also signed former Swindon midfielder Andy Caton, 21, son of the late U’s defender Tommy Caton, ex-Watford defender David Perpetuini and striker Alex Fisher, 18, who was on loan at City from United last season.
