South African batting prodigy Johann Myburgh is expected to arrive at Oxford Downs in the next two weeks.
The 28-year-old, who has been playing first-class cricket for Canterbury Wizards in New Zealand and is coming to work at Cothill House School, near Abingdon, has been held up in his bid to come to this country by red tape.
But Downs chairman Ted Sandbach said: “He is going to be over here shortly – in about ten days.
“We have complete clearance to play him.”
