Another brilliant bowling display by New Zealander Anthony Bullick took Banbury top of the Home Counties Premier League Division 1 table on Saturday.
With Oxford seeing off leaders Henley, Ian Hawtin’s side look down on the rest after their third win in four matches.
Bullick destroyed bottom-club Farnham Royal’s early batting, soon reducing the home side to 14-3.
After opener Warren Miller had fallen to Luke Ryan, Sharifullah Nasieri virtually held the innings together on his own with an unbeaten 53 off 84 balls.
Bullick completed his 5-50 haul by dismissing Richard Sandford and Sibet Hussain.
Ryan mopped up the tail as the hosts were dismissed for 161 in 45 overs.
With 65 overs to get the runs, Banbury took their time.
After Chris Smith had been run out, Damian Shirazi, whose unbeaten 73 came off 166 balls, and Craig Haupt (62 not out off 112 balls, saw Banbury home with more than 11 overs to spare.
