Kidlington Netball Club’s season has been given extra spice by a sponsorship deal with the village’s Ovisher Tandoori restaurant.
The club, who have purchased new kit with the money, have just celebrated promotion to Division 1 of the Oxfordshire League.
Kidlington were also named club of the year at the Oxfordshire League presentation evening at Drayton Park Golf Club.
They run two senior teams and also junior sides at under 12 and under 16.
Kidlington, who play at Rutten Lane, Yarnton, have also been commended for obtaining CAPS (Club Action Planning Scheme) accreditation from the England Netball Clubmark Award Scheme.
Club chairman Kate Blackshaw was delighted by the Ovisher’s support.
“It makes it even more special to walk out on court finally wearing matching kit,” she said.
“The future really does look bright for Kidlington Netball Club, and we hope to continue to attract more members to the club.”
Restaurant owner Abdul Bari added: “Having delivered 30 years of excellence the Ovisher feels that it is not only expected, but privileged to be involved in the local community that it is embedded in.”
Kidlington train at Marlborough School, Woodstock, on Wednesday evenings for adults and under 16s, and at Gosford Hill School, Kidlington, on Saturday for the under 12s.
