Horspath Hammers came third in the latest round of the British Junior & Youth League at East Newport.
As usual, Exeter won the event on 2371/2 pts from the host club East Newport, with 216, and Horspath on 2141/2.
A number of Horspath riders reached their respective A finals though Rachel Edge was the only winner.
Hammers are in a good position to qualify for the national final rounds as they are still lying in second spot with one round to go.
Hammers’ South West Division 1 match at Hellingly was a victim of a freak storm which left the track waterlogged.
Today, the under 13 team contest the British Under 13 Team Championship at Poole, led by Jordan Richardson and Ben Carter.
A fixture change brings the defending South West champions, Poole, to The Village on Bank Holiday Monday (2pm) for South West Division 1 and Conference League fixtures.
