Vikings’ Alan Oliver was crowned the Buildbase Oxford & District League's Men’s Individual champion with an aggregate victory over Horse & Harrow’s Ian Moquet on finals night at the Gladiators Club, writes PETE EWINS.
Oliver lost the opening frame after seeing an 8,000 break wiped out.
But he recovered well to take the second for an 7,560-3,030 aggregate win.
Nelson's Pauline Withey regained the Ladies Individual title.
After knocking out holder Jenny Abbott in the semi-final, she beat Didcot's Sue Atkins 6,570-2,850 in the final, winning both legs to claim her 18th title.
Horse & Harrow's Gary Johnson beat Dolphin’s Simon Ellam 2-0 to lift the Bill Moore House Champions Cup.
A brilliant score of 19,890 in the opening frame put him on the way.
Johnson captured the Off The Spot Singles Cup with a 10,760-4,470 aggregate win over Ian Gordon.
The Pat Webber Cup went to Democrats’ Richard Garrett, who was made to fight all the way in his 9,620-8,240 win over Berinsfield's Geoff Mace.
Mace then won the Kernahan Cup 2-0 over Dolphin's Adam Thorn.
Berinsfield’s Mellissa Standbridge took the Lily Cox Cup, beating Gladiators’ Jenny Webb 4,080-3,580 on aggregate.
In the Never Won Cup, Vikings’ Ian Moss overcame Nelson’s Sean Stratford 7,490-3,830.
Keith Sheard lifted the Committee Cup, defeating Richard Garrett 2-0.
A cracking pairs final saw Geoff and Craig Mace lead 2-0 and by 14,280 points ahead only for Steven Sheard and Pauline Withey to storm back in the next two legs and snatch victory 29,610-20,570 on aggregate.
In the Team Knockout Group A final, Nelson won 5-0 against Dolphin, with Withey (4,370), Keith Sheard (12,690), Steven Sheard (9,350), Kevin Godfrey (7,730) and Trafford (13,170) in fine form.
Didcot Conservative Club won Group B, beating Berinsfield 4-1 thanks to successes from Phil Collins (13,510), Abbott (5,780), Ray Hayter (3,530) and Dennis Atkins (4,200).
Democrats completed the double with a 5-0 win over Headington Conservative Club in Group C, John Patey was top scorer with (5,410).
