Radley had to settle for third place in their second Young Athletes League Southern 1 West meeting.
Radley posted 25 first places in the girls’ section.
Highlight of the day came from Megan Humphreys (under 13).
She clocked 4mins 8.7secs to win the 1200m, despite heavy rain and blustery winds.
Her performance earned her the athlete-of-the-match award.
In the boys’ section, Jordan Dorrian (under 15) came first in the 100m and 200m, clocking 12.5 and 25.8 secs respectively.
He also recorded victory in the long jump with 5.15m.
Edward O’Hara clocked 1.03.7 in the under 17 boys’ 400m hurdles and cleared 1.55m in the high jump.
Middle disance runners Chris Hewitt and Kieran Webb ran personal bests in the 800m and 1500m respectively in times of 2.24.4 and 5.36.0.
Result: 1 Wycombe 374.5, 2 Poole 369, 3 Radley 302.5, 4 Banbury & Bicester 282.
- ABINGDON Amblers finished fifth in their Southern 2 West meeting at North West St Albans.
A number of athletes achieved graded performances, most notably Peter Barnshaw, who clocked a Grade 1 time of 57.1 secs in the 400m hurdles.
