Jon Jukes set up a showdown with Butchers Arms Ian Moss in the Greene King ODDA singles final with a thrilling last-four win against Shears’ Pete Hall.
The Original Swan ace, was in brilliant form, seeing off three Oxfordshire A players to reach his fourth final.
In a cracking semi-final, Jukes won the first leg against his rival with just 17 darts, despite Hall hitting eight scores of 100 or more.
And Jukes kept up his excellent run to take the next leg, with a superb 13-dart finish of 140-96-105-140-double ten to book his place in the final at Rover Social Club on June 5.
Moss got there with a 2-1 win against Dan Jones.
In the last 16, Jukes had beaten county player Steve Foster, from Railway Social Club A, while Moss saw off Foster’s teammate and previous singles winner Paul Cohen (Railway Social Club A).
County A player Hall then beat teammate Preben Krabb-en to reach the quarter-finals.
Jukes defeated twice singles winner and teammate Nick Cobb 2-0, also a member of the Oxfordshire A side, while Hall beat College Oak’s Paul Champ 2-0.
Moss saw off Paul Davis (Folly Bridge) 2-1, while Dan Jones from Nuffield Lounge B defeated Simon Powell (Nuffield Lounge A) 2-1.
The men’s pairs final will see Joe Palmer and Aaran Stevens (Railway Social Club) take on Dave Exell and Krabben.
Tickets for the finals are available at £2 each from the Three Horseshoes, Old Marston.
