OCA League Divisions 1 & 2
Eddie Howard slammed a century as Marcham cruised to a 141-run victory at Freeland in Division 1.
Howard, the former Oxford Caribbean captain, scored 109 as Marcham posted a massive 301-6 from their 45 overs.
Matt Launchbury fell four short of a century, while Nick Giles also hit 75, and Billy Webb taking 5-60.
In reply, Freeland never got close, with Dave Macdonald taking 5-27 as they were dismissed for 160.
Horley surprised title favourites East Oxford with a 33-run victory.
Batting first, Horley scored 208-6, Nick Tarrant hitting 82 and Harry Smith 60.
East Oxford fell to 175 all out in reply, with Darren De Bruyn taking 3-35.
Oxford Caribbean’s Ryan Mills scored 73 in their 189 all out against Westbury.
And it proved enough as Westbury fell to 137 all out, Bryan Barrett taking 4-27.
Tetsworth and Great Horwood tied an exciting clash.
Rocky Burke (61) and Rommel Foster (52) helped Tetsworth to 197 all out.
Horwood reached the same score with five wickets down, Sam Willetts scoring 57.
John Bacon took 5-25 as Fringford beat Garsington by 33 runs in Division 2 Fringford posted 188-9, with Jamie Stevens scoring 54 and Clive Woodward taking 5-43.
Nigel Coltman top-scored with 45 in Garsington’s reply, but Bacon’s haul, plus 3-44 from Charlie Thomas, saw Garsington dismissed for 155.
Mike Hume’s 75 not out helped Faringdon to a one-wicket win at Letcombe.
The home side were shot out for 123, Hume taking 3-21 and Andy McDowall 4-32.
Faringdon lost wickets at regular intervals, but Hume saw them home.
Pete Beckett took 5-18 as East & West Hendred’s beat Watlington by 43 runs.
Ian Clewley scored 49 in Hendred’s 167-7, before Watlington fell to 124 all out.
