OCA Cup round-up
Aftab Alam scored 81 not out to help East Oxford into the second round of the Airey Cup with a seven-wicket win at Northleach.
Batting first, Northleach posted 174-9, before Aftab and Safraz Hussain (36no) saw East Oxford to victory.
Horley defeated Marsh Gibbon by 25 runs.
Harry Smith (39) top-scored in Horley’s 179-9, and Marsh Gibbon reached 154-9 in reply.
Fringford were bowled out for 85 by Great Horwood, who then cruised to a nine-wicket victory at 89-1.
In the first round of the Telegraph Cup, Clifton Hampden crushed Hailey by eight wickets.
Laurence Harvey (3-31) and Steve Wetherall (3-38) combined as Hailey were shot out for 137.
Malcolm Cox-Rogers (65) and Morley Benson (54) then helped Clifton to 139-2.
Jason Penn slammed 135 not out to help Kilkenny to a massive 337-6 against Chinnor in the first round of the Steve Dixon Cup.
Rob Craddock chipped in with 69, before Chinnor subsided to just 108 all out, David Wann taking 4-14.
Dorchester’s John Hyde hit 52 not out to help his side to a seven-wicket win over Stanton St John Willows.
Stanton were restricted to 120-9, before Dorchester eased in.
Four wickets apiece from Andy Claydon and Paul Wiggins helped Sunningwell to a 56-run win over Steventon.
Having posted 126 all out, Sunningwell dismissed Steventon for just 70 in reply.
Omar Tariq’s 94 not out saw West Witney to 181-4 and a six-wicket victory over Hanney.
Wantage edged past Chipping Norton by two wickets.
Chippy posted 165-9, but Wantage reached 166-8, Ian Challand top-scoring with 63.
New boys Cairns Fudge eased to an eight-wicket win at home to Wolvercote.
Jamie Clark took 4-10 as Wolvercote were bowled out for 75, before Mark Small (30) saw Cairns Fudge to victory.
West Ilsley 2nd reached the second round of the Osberton Radiators Cup with a ten-run win over Chadlington 2nd.
Ilsley rattled up 189-8, before restricting Chadlington to 179-8.
A fine all-round display from Neil Cotterell helped Marcham 2nd to a 29-run victory over Westbury 2nd.
Cotterell scored 59 in Marcham’s 138 all out, then claimed 4-30 as Westbury were bowled out for 109.
In the Keith Crump Centenary Cup, youngster Jonah Miles-Collett took 6-29 to help Minster Lovell 3rd to an eight-wicket win at Watlington 2nd.
The home side were shot out for 78, and then Tim Spittles (37) helped Minster to 80-2.
Veteran Jason Seacole hit 94 not out to help Witney Swifts 2nd to 153-4 against Faringdon 2nd, Faringdon had earlier been bowled out for 149, with spinner Graeme Woodward returning fine figures of 4-36.
Elsewhere, Ducklington 2nd beat Hanney 2nd by seven wickets, while Chesterton 2nd easily saw off Wolvercote 2nd by four wickets.
