The fourth match in the Predator Spring League series was held at Stable Lake, Kirtlington, fished by 18.
It was a very closely fought thing, with only 4.2.0 splitting the first three places.
Alternating between the method feeder and maggot to the island, and pole and pellet mid-water, Matt Ryman (Predator) emerged victorious with a net of carp weighing 72.0.0.
Hard on his heels was Andy Wiffen (RS Baits) with another net of carp worth a second-placed 71.6.0 on the pole long and short with either pellet or maggot on the hook.
Dave Clarke (Predator) finished third with 67.14.0, a mixed bag of carp and bream caught at 12 metres in open water with punched meat or corn.
Stable Lake fished very well, as besides these weights, there were some very good back-up returns.
Beehive AC fished their FA Cup first round on a windswept Panshill which made presentation very difficult for the 18 anglers.
Even so, there were still plenty of fish caught.
Kevin Jeacock picked up his second win on the trot, fishing paste at eight metres to take 59.6.0 of F1’s.
In second place, Chris Dingle used a combination of pellet and paste for 48.13.0, while third with 37.8.0 was Martin Wilkinson, who had all his fish in the margins on pellet.
