Oxfordshire schoolboy William Macke had two reasons to celebrate after being crowned national cycling champion.
Macke (pictured right in yellow), who is a year 9 pupil at Wood Green School, Witney, won the under 14 British Schools Cycling Association (BSCA) hard track championship at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth.
The result also saw him crowned BSCA under 15 Southern Area sprint champion.
Macke, who rides for Palmer Park Velo at Reading, won the three-lap pursuit in 2mins 20.96secs, a one-lap match sprint and a 15-lap scratch race to lift the title.
