Danielle Anderson moved back to the top of the UK rankings in the javelin at under 17 level after a fine display in the Birmingham Rowheath Open on Monday.
The Oxford City ace threw an impressive 43.16m to win the event and go top of the junior rankings and tenth in the senior standings.
- OXFORD City’s junior middle distance squad saw five personal bests in the 1500m at the BMC evening meeting at Millfield School, Somerset.
In the under 17 category, Imogen Kempton and Jade Walker set new marks, both clocking 4.56.19.
Lauren Hawtin did likewise in the under 15 race, recording 5.00.39.
Beth Hawtin smashed her best by eight seconds in the under 13 girls’ race, crossing the line in 5.09.83, which ranks her No 6 in the UK.
Josh Tack starred in the under 15 boys’ race.
Tack slashed a massive ten seconds off his previous best, clocking 4.44.09.
The quickest performer of the day was Melissa Hawtin in the under 17 women’s race (4.38.45).
- RADLEY began their Veterans League Western Division campaign by winning the men’s and women’s competitions at Hospath.
The women posted 11 victories, six second places and three third places, Kay Reynolds triumphing in the the 100m (13.5), javelin (26.35m) and high jump (1.35m).
Radley also won the men’s competition, seeing off the challenge of county rivals Oxford City, Abingdon Amblers and Witney Roadrunners.
